Chicken Pulao –recipe

(It’s easy to prepare and delicious to eat)
Ingredients:
Onions-04
Tomatoes-03
Cardmamoms-06
Cloves -06

You should also taste Gosht Dum Biryani
 
Water – 04 cups
Cinnamon sticks – 03
Turmeric powder -02 tbsp
Chicken bouillon cubes -04
Oil – 1tbsp
Rice – 02 cups
Peas -250 gm

 Preparation:
-Put one tablespoon of oil in a pan, fry cinnamon sticks and cloves for a bit.
-Add the cardamoms and onions and fry the onions till they become transparent.
-Add the tomatoes and fry for a bit before adding the bouillon cubes.  Fry till they mix well with all the ingredients.

You should also taste Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani

-Now wash the rice and add turmeric powder to it. Add this rice to the pan slowly and stir all the while. Mix this well and add the water and the peas.  Cover the pan and wait till the water gets dried and the rice is ready.
-Serve with chicken curry or vegetable raita.

Gobi Korma

Ingredients:
Cauliflower 1 (medium)
1 Onion boiled and cut
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Coriander powder ½ tsp
Chili powder ½ tsp




Also taste Spinach Palak Curry

 Garam Masala ½ tsp
Raisin 1 tbsp
Cashew paste 1.5 tbsp
Coconut milk ½ cup
Salt and sugar to taste
Oil 25 ml
Ghee 1 tsp

Method:
Dice the Cauliflower.   Heat the oil in a pan/Kadhai and fry the Cauliflower after coating them with turmeric.  Then add onion, ginger paste, chili and coriander in that oil and fry.  Once the oil separates from the spice, add cashew paste, raisin, sugar and salt and fry.  Add coconut milk and water in the end.  Once the cauliflower is soft, add the garam masala and ghee and serve it. You can also add a dollop

Recipe: Delicious Apple Pancakes

(It’s easy to prepare and delicious to eat)
Ingredients:

-½ cup plain flour
-1/2 cup corn flour
-3/4 cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter
Salt to taste
For the apple filing:
4 big apples, peeled and chopped into small cubes
2 tbsp butter
4 tbsp brown sugar
½ tbsp cinnamon powder
2 tbsp honey (optional)
Walnuts for garnish
Method:
For the pancakes – Mix flour, corn flour, milk, salt and ½ cup water making a batter.
 Drizzle a little butter in a non-stick pan and pour a small amount of batter (approximately 2 tbsp) in the pan.  Flip the pancake to the other side once golden-brown cooking both side. Prepare the rest the same way.
For the filling: Melt the butter in a pan and add apples, sugar and cinnamon powder. Cook till the apples are soft and well coated.
To serve: Spoon the apples filling on each pancake and drizzle some honey and walnuts on top. You can also serve with Vanilla ice-cream for some extra brownie points.

Recipe: Mango Banana Smoothie


Ingredients:
Chilled Mangoes -2 cups
Bananas – 2 pcs
Yoghut-1 cup
Ice Cubes – ½ cup
Vanilla-1tsp
Dash of cinnamon and nutmeg
 Method:

In a blender container combine Mango, Banana, yoghurt, Ice cubes, Vanilla, Cinnamon and nutmeg.  Blend until smooth.

Recipe: Mango Panna Cotta

Ingredients:
Cooking cream-400 ml
Milk -250 ml
Vanilla essence -5ml
Sugar – 6tbsp
Gelatin-1 strip
Cold water – 45 ml
For Mango Puree:
Ripe Mango, Sugar
Method of Preparation:
In a saucepan, gentle heat the cream, milk, vanilla and sugar until well dissolved.  Do not boil.  In a bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water. Allow to bloom for 5minutes.  Add a bit of the hot cream mixture to the gelatin and stir to melt completely.  Stir in the remaining of the cream mixture and blend well.  Pour into 12 small 60 ml (1/4 cup) capacity ramekins and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.  Meanwhile, prepare the Mango puree. Peel, pit and cut the mango into pieces.  In a food processor, puree the Mango with the sugar until it is smooth.  Set aside.  Once the Panna cottais set remove from the refrigerator and gently spoon a small hole in the centre.

Recipe: Aloo Gosht

(The dish that got Karim’s going)
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1 Cup clarified butter
1 Kg Mutton
1 Cup Curd
1 tablespoon Black Pepper
1 table spoon Cumin seeds powder
1 table spoon Red chili power
2 table spoon Coriander Power
8 Small Cardamoms
Half tablespoon of Turmeric
1 tablespoon onion-garlic paste
10 pieces of Clovers
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon of finely cut ginger
4 tablespoon of finely cut ginger
4 tablespoon of fried onions
½ tablespoon cardamom pieces
2 cups cut potatoes
½ tablespoon garam Masala
Method:
-Heat ghee in a pan and add the mutton, curd, black pepper, cumin seeds, red chili powder, small pieces of cardamom, cloves, coriander power, turmeric, onion-garlic paste, ginger and salt to taste.
-Cover the pan with a lid and cook it for 5 minutes.
-Add fried onions, cardamom, cut potatoes and add garam masala.  Let it cook for another 45 minutes with the lid put on.
-Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
