Mocha Coffee –recipe

(It’s Teens’ favorite besides others)
Ingredients:

500 ml strong coffee
500 ml strong drinking chocolate
Whipped cream -4 tbsp
Nutmeg-2 tsp
Sugar-2 tsp
Method:
-Mix the coffee and chocolate in a pan and heat it
-Flavour it with nutmeg and sugar, then pour into cups and top with shipped cream
-Its ready to serve.

Mixed Black lintels (Punjabi style) - recipe

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour
Serves: 5
Ingredients:

Split black lintels (Soaked) 150 gm
Husked split Bengal gram (Chana dal) -100 gm
Garlic-ginger paste – 1tbsp
Hung yoghurt – 2 tbsp
Pulped tomato-10 tbsp
Finely chopped onion-1 small
Salt- 1 tsp
Red chili powder-1tsp
Garam Masala- ½ tsp
Oil – 1tbsp
Water -500 ml
Finely chopped coriander leaves-1 tbsp
How to prepare:
-Clean the pulses well. Add water, salt and garlic-ginger paste.  Cook in pressure cooker for about 40 minutes or till the pulses are cooked or simmer the mixture for 1.5 hours, adding water occasionally.
-Mash the pulses and leave on low heat.
-Add the beaten yogurt and cook for 3-4 minutes
-Heat the oil and add the onions.  Saute the onions till golden.  Add the red chili powder and tomato pulp.   Cook till the tomatoes are thoroughly cooked.
-Add the onion tomato paste to the dal and simmer for a few minutes.
-Garnish with coriander leaves and garam masala.  You may also add some cream and some chili flakes to garnish.

Mint and Cucumber delight- Drink recipe

(Cucumber is low on calories and fights digestive problems like heartburn and acidity)
Ingredients:
Cucumber -2
Sugar- 5 tspLime Juice: 3 tsp
Mint leaves (minced): 2 tsp
Water
Preparation:
-Peel and chop cucumbers, puree and strain
-Add lime juice, sugar and mix everything well
-Add mint leaves, 2 glasses of hot water and allow it to stand for an hour in the fridge.
-Pour into a serving glass through a strainer so that mint leaves get strained out.
-Serve chilled.

Garlic Bread – Recipe

(It is simple to prepare and tasty)
Ingredients:
Bread/hotdog rolls,

Cheese spread,
Salt to taste,
Garlic paste,
Mixed herbs
 Recipe:
- Mix the Cheese spread, Salt, garlic paste and mixed herbs and keep aside.
-Cut the rolls and spread this mixture.
-Arrange it on a baking tray and keep inside a hot oven for a few minutes.
-Once it is crispy, the dish ready to serve with tea or Coffee.

Fried chicken – Recipe

(It’s crispy and yummy)
Ingredients:
Eggs -2

Corn flour-1 cup
Chili Flakes -1 tsp
Olive oil
Basil-1tsp
Powdered corn flakes
½ Kg chicken, half-boiled
Salt to taste
Preparation:
-Whisk the egg and dip the chicken pieces in the egg.
-Mix the corn flour and the spices together in a bowl.  Put the chicken in the fur mixture and coat it well.
-Once the flour coating is done dip it again in the egg mixture and coat it with the corn flake powder.
-Heat the pan with the olive oil and fry the chicken pieces till each side is golden brown.
-Serve his with sauce or chutney.

Imli Panna – Drink recipe.

(Sweet tangy sour and spicy, it is effective to prevent sun stroke as it maintains electrolyte balance in the body).
Ingredients:

Tamarind (Imli) -100 gm
Jaggery – 300 gm
Cumin Powder- 1 tea spoon
Green Chilies -4
Brown mustard seed -1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Rock salt to taste
Garlic -4 cloves
Ginger-small knob
Mint and coriander leaves – 4-5
Boondi for garnishing
Preparation:
-Boil tamarind along with jaggery and a pinch of salt.
-After it cools down, remove the pulp and strain
-Add salt, rock salt and cumin powder and keep aside.
-In a jar, add the mixture along with green chilies, mint leaves, coriander, garlic and ginger and grind it to a fine paste.
-Add cold water and temper with brown mustard seed.
-Garnish with Boondi and finely cut coriander.  Serve chilled.

Mutton Curry in mustard oil

Ingredients:
Mutton-1Kg
Salt to taste
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
Mustered oil-2tbsp
Ginger garlic paste-1.5 tbsp
Also taste Mustard Chicken

Also taste  Mutton Stew


Yogurt-1/2 cup
Garam Masala-1 tsp
Onions- 4-5 big
Green chilies
Tomato -1 big

Preparation:
-Lightly wash mutton pieces, remove water and keep in a deep mixing bowl.
-Sprinkle salt, turmeric powder, Mustered oil and a little bit of ginger garlic paste and Yogurt and marinate it for half an hour.
-Thinly slice the onions
-In a Pressure Cooker heat mustard oil till it starts smoking and add all the Garam Masala (Cloves, Cardamom, cinnamon and Tej patta) and green chilies according to the taste.
-When it starts splattering, add the chopped onions and sauté till they are almost red.  Now add the ginger garlic paste and stir will. Add tomato and fry till oil separates; now add turmeric powder, Dhaniya and jeera powder.

Also taste Gosht Dum Biryani
 
-Stir well and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes.  Add the mutton pieces and still well.  Cook for at least 15-20 minutes by stirring occasionally.  This is a crucial step.  Now, taste and fix the salt.   You may add little bit of garam masala and pepper powder according to taste.  Add warm water to get the gravy.  Cover the Cooker and cook on high flame till you get about 5 or 6 whistles in Pressure Cooker.  Now reduce the flame to check the seasoning and adjust salt.  Add some ghee to it if you want it rich.
 Garnish with chopped Coriander leaves and serve hot with Chapattis or rice.
